What will I be doing?


This is great opportunity for someone from an application support service background, who also enjoys getting involved in a broader range of client development projects.


As a Service Delivery Lead in the team you will manage development and operation activities for the on-going delivery and support of Azure AI and Data Analytics platform solutions for a small number of clients. This will include:


  • Client and Business Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead more complex “Small Works” deliveries
  • Assist with prioritisation of team activities
  • Provide day to day direction to technical team
  • Service governance and reporting
  • Resourcing, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Deputise for Head of Service Delivery across the portfolio of clients


There will be regular contact with clients, so applicants must be comfortable discussing technical concepts in clear and concise language. The ideal candidate will be in a similar role or have relative experience from a previous role, during which they would have gained experience in problem solving, managing client expectations and SLA’s. They must have good communication skills, the ability to work to tight time scales and under pressure.

This is a customer facing position. You will be working with our customers daily. You can expect to be mainly remotely located at one of our offices and occasionally working alongside our customers at their offices, so there will be some occasional travel.


Our UK offices are in Farnham and London, and the role can be based at either of the UK locations. You’ll be working, collaborating and socialising with your colleagues across all our offices.

There will be a need to occasionally work outside of the normal office hours, but this can be remotely (from your home) and of course this time will be recognised and rewarded.


What experience/skills do I need?

 

Key Skills:

  • Experience of Agile ideally SCRUM for project delivery in the role of SCRUM Master
  • Experience of leading an application support service ideally in the role of SDM
    • Operated within an externally focused Consultancy or Managed Service operation
    • Client and commercial management
    • An attention to detail and a focus on continual improvement
    • Willingness to learn based on feedback and able to help others develop
    • Strong written and spoken English
    • Interpersonal skills


Desirable:

  • Experience of Azure DevOps for task management
  • Knowledge of “DW/BI” concepts, architectures, patterns
  • Experience of working in a Microsoft environment
